Shades of Gray

Hi friends! I know it’s January and my head is definitely focused on school, but I didn’t want to abandon my blog for a whole month so here’s a little piece of me when I looked good (aka less bags under my eyes).

I’ll deny this if we go shopping, but recent studies have shown that at least a good 70% of my fall/winter wardrobe is tinted in gray. I can’t really help it but it is the color I’m the most attracted to whenever I enter a store. It just goes with absolutely everything! I like to think of this look as almost business casual. Why almost? Because you probably wouldn’t wear nikes to an actual business meeting.

I’ve trained the lower part of my legs to resist all kinds of temperatures, but if you’re afraid you’ll lose your ankles to frost bite, don’t be afraid to a) wear longer socks with this look (just make sure they’re sober and plain) and b) replace the sneakers for a pair of winter-adequate boots.

If you’re not all about the monochrome life, add a touch or color to this look with a scarf or a colorful backpack or purse, whatever suits you. And last but not least, if you think this is all a tad too serious, feel free to style it with a different type of jacket; coats are never a must!

Alright, that’s it for today. I better go back to the books.
