Year In Review: my favorite outfits of 2017

Hi friends! With 2017 coming to an end, I thought I’d do a sort of review of my favorite outfits I’ve posted about this year. Make no mistake, I love everything I’ve talked about in here, but if I had to choose, I’d say these 5 are my top picks:

5. A little something for my day-to-day

I love everything about this outfit! It’s sophisticated yet simple enough to wear to class, to a restaurant, or to a night out in town with your friends. A must!

4. TThe infamous trench coat

I still can’t really process the fact that I thrift-shopped an original vintage Burberry without even realizing it! I grabbed two coats, one of them looked almost ridiculously big on me, even though that was the one I liked the most, but I didn’t want to leave empty handed and I’d been looking for a trench coat for a while, so I took this baby home and realized it was from Burberry a week after I bought it. Pretty sure this was a message from Jesus himself!

3. The Denim Jacket

Another thrift shop jewel! I got scolded by my fam because I already had a denim jacket, but it was not as oversized or cool as this one. It goes with absolutely everything and it’s just a babe of it’s own.

2. The Fancy one x Jeurissen

In case you didn’t know already, I love to dress up! It’s actually kind of sad that I don’t have a ton of chances to do so, but when I do, I try to give ye olde boring suit a twist when possible. I wore this to Jeurissen’s F/W 17 collection reveal and I felt like a million bucks.

1. The one that started it all

I remember vividly when Filles à Papa started to tease us by slowly revealing pieces of their Resort SS17 collection and I immediately felt in love with this t-shirt. At the time, I was already toying around with the idea of starting my own blog but hadn’t found the outfit to launch it with. Fearing I’d let my insecurities take the best of me, I launched the blog a few weeks before I even got this t-shirt just so I wouldn’t let the chance slip by. In the meantime, I worked extra shifts babysitting to get the euros I was missing to buy my baby, and as soon as I got it and the temperature went above 15 degrees, I took my ass to Brussels and shot this pictures with my friend Sarah. It’s still one of my favorite pictures to date.

There you have it folks, these were my favorite outfits of 2017. Did you like any of these? If you did then be sure to follow my blog and Instagram page. There’s a lot more to come in 2018 and I hope you’re kind enough to join me in the rest of my journey.
