Home For The Summer

Coucou dear readers! I would like to share some great news with you all: I survived year two of my life abroad. After a great first year of university, I am now writing this in the comfort of my bed, and finally reunited with some of my best friends and my family.

I landed on Saturday, after a very stressful flight, but I was beyond happy to be surrounded by my loved ones. We all knew I was going to be way to tired to do anything after landig, so after my parents picked me up from the airport, we drove to my aunt’s place in Quito to have a quiet dinner and a drink -or two- at her place.

Sunday in the morning involved us doing one of my favorite sports ever: brunching. The place was to die for and the food was delicious, but in an attempt to stay off my phone and actually talk to the people I haven’t seen in a year, I don’t have any pictures of our delicious meals, so my apologies for that.

I hadn’t initially planned on shooting as soon as I landed, but as my dad and many other aficionados sat down to yell at yesterday’s soccer match between Chile and Germany, I took the shot to go to my aunt’s terrace and shot a few pics with my sister’s help.

I kept my outfit simple and brunch oriented; mostly because I figured I’d get quite a few stares if I’d pulled an all-out Chuck Bass and attended brunch in a suit. That’s a new level of extra I’ve yet to reach. So I went for a plaid shirt, skinny jeans, boat shoes and my new favorite shades.

I hope I get another chance of showing you guys more of Quito and less of myself, but in the meantime, I AM THE VIEW lol.

Don Diego.

PS: Wondering why I am now signing my posts as “Don Diego” and not “D”? If the answer was yes, then head over to this link. xo
